Classic Wheelbase Strength for Your Four-Seat Build
Built to complement our Genesis four-seat body, the stock 95½″ wheelbase Genesis chassis blends timeless dune buggy heritage with modern structural confidence. Inspired by the golden era of fiberglass buggies, this platform delivers the nostalgic look you love—with the added strength and safety-minded engineering today’s builders expect.
Designed as a direct-fit alternative to a stock Volkswagen Type 1 pan (excluding Super models), the Genesis chassis offers substantially increased rigidity and durability. The reinforced design not only supports the longer wheelbase but also provides convenient tunnel access from underneath—simplifying inspection and maintenance compared to a factory pan.
The integrated fiberglass floor features a ribbed structure for added strength and stability. Finished in a durable gloss black gel-coat, the floor resists corrosion and does not require painting, helping your build stay clean and classic for years to come.
Constructed from new mild steel tubing, the chassis incorporates:
- 2″ x 2″ main rails
- 1½″ square and round infrastructure tubing
- An additional 1½″ of integrated body lift for improved ground clearance
The main rails provide enhanced structural integrity to confidently support a four-seat configuration. Threaded body mounting points are built in for straightforward installation, helping your project move from frame to finished vehicle with efficiency.
Every Genesis chassis is intended for off-road or custom vehicle applications and should be assembled, installed, and inspected by qualified professionals. Proper installation, drivetrain compatibility, braking systems, and suspension setup are critical to safe vehicle operation.
